Nigerian workers are among the least paid when compared to other countries of the world, therefore the authorities should implement the new minimum wage. If you look at the new minimum wage, it is still nothing to write home about but then it should be seen as a starting point towards achieving a balance. Workers in Nigeria should press the authorities involved to implement the new minimum wage.
We (Viewers Corner News) have in the past written articles concerning this new minimum wage and shall continue to do so until success is achieved. Again any governor who is unable to pay the new minimum wage is an enemy to his people because the governor’s take home in Nigeria runs in billions of Naira so why are they finding it difficult to pay the minimum wage which is a peanut? Such governors who cannot pay the new minimum wage have no business being in government house in Nigeria. He or she should not be re-elected to office come 2019 because he/she is a bad news to governance.
