Judiciary stands as a power house of every nation in the world where every citizen of every country seeks refuge when the unexpected happens but as we have seen today in Nigeria and other countries around the world, it is not so anymore. Human beings have sold their souls to the devil because of money and other worldly things, they allow the criminals to go free while the honest ones are put behind bars as a result of worldly acquisition instead of upholding the truth they sworn to uphold.
The question now is for how long shall we as citizens of this beautiful world be on this deceitful and terrible act? We have already sworn to uphold and say the truth as always and as children of one God, let us think about it properly. Now if we look around the world today, such system is no longer in existence, not only in Nigeria but also in other parts of the world but this situation is worst in the third world countries.
Again, let us take a close look at what is going on in Nigerian politics at the moment, issues concerning senate leader Bukola Saraki is clear that games are being played which is not supposed to be so because the law is very clear on this matter even a layman in law understands it correctly. Even if Saraki would be allowed to continue his job as senate leader, let the people in-charge of this case be plain and say the truth just for once then he could be forgiven and the country can move on. No matter the offence an individual may have committed, he could be forgiven as long as an apology is rendered and the said individual promise not to repeat such act again, then it will be accepted instead of some judges playing games in the case trying to beat time by causing unnecessary delays. Let us be realistic here and also remember that there is always a reward for every good or bad thing an individual does.
Now in Rotimi Amaechi’s own situation, it is also very clear that some people do not want to see him get the ministerial job due to some political grievances they hold against him. Viewers Corner said this in the past that Rotimi Amaechi is better than most governors and even most of his colleagues (the would be ministers that have already been screened and confirmed).
Honestly, animosity of any kind does not help in nation building and we should play down a bit on issues of victimization and sentiments too. Let us take the road to success because we all have sworn to uphold the truth as always.
Once again, Viewers Corner is appealing to Nigerian judges to please follow the rule of law and be honest about it because you all have sworn to uphold the truth and deliver judgement without being bias on any issue. They should also try and decongest the Nigerian prisons by revisiting some of the cases which have been pending for years without trials. Equity and fair play should be our key words.
