The recent quit notice given to the Igbos living in the northern part of Nigeria by Arewa group was as a result of the agitation of some group of Igbos in the country (Nigeria) who would want to breakaway from Nigeria and many other wrong activities which the Igbos are being accused of committing within Nigeria and abroad thereby bringing disgrace to the country (Nigeria) as alleged. The good thing here is that most northern elders/leaders have condemned the quit notice given to the Igbos living in the northern part of Nigeria which is great and also the acting president of Nigeria, professor Yemi Osinbajo has taken a good step in trying to bring peace among these groups in the country (Nigeria) which is also great. In our (Viewers Corner News team) opinion, those things are happening today because of lack of information, awareness and wrong government policies towards the people of the country (Nigeria). This is where the government comes into play, if an individual is gainfully employed or have a good means of livelihood most of these agitations would not be there and those agitating to have their own country are doing it the wrong way. Again the main man who initiated this Biafra thing (Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu), before his death said that everyone should forget the past and work for the unity of one Nigeria. We expect the Igbos to respect the wish of this great man (Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu) if they truly love him, therefore those that are agitating to have Biafra and at the same time causing problems in the country (Nigeria) which was one of the reasons for the quit notice given to them by Arewa group should kindly have a rethink and work for the unity of one Nigeria. On the other hand, the northern elders/leaders should also advise their children that two wrongs can not make a right, therefore they should show maturity in handling this issue of quit notice. Let there be peace no matter our differences. South, North, East and West, we are all children of one God. Let us respect that and work for the interest and unity of one Nigeria.
