On Wednesday August 17, 2016, Germany defeated Nigeria 2-0 in the semi-finals of men’s Olympics football tournament in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Lukas Klostermann of Germany scored the first goal for Germany in ninth minute while Niels Petersen scored the second goal in the 88th minute to seal victory for the Germans. Germany and Brazil will wrestle for gold medal on Saturday after Brazil (the host team) smashed Honduras 6-0 in their semi-final. Nigeria will play Honduras for bronze medal on Saturday, August 20, 2016.
