Mr Olisa Metuh, the ex-national publicity secretary of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of Nigeria who is standing trial at the moment in the country (Nigeria) on corruption is sick and would want to be flown abroad for medical treatment which the trial judge (Justice Okon Effreti Abang) refused to grant him (Mr Olisa Metuh). Honestly, such judge (Justice Okon Effreti Abang) should be commended for doing so because for 16 years of PDP leadership in Nigeria, they were unable to build a hospital or even refurbish the existing ones to a good standard. All they know during their time was to share money meant for development and now Mr Olisa Metuh is asking the judge to grant him the opportunity to go and treat himself abroad. No reasonable judge would grant such request, you have to be treated in your country (Nigeria) because that hospital abroad you are running to for medical attention was built and equipped by human beings. If corruption is so rampant in those people’s system abroad, building great hospitals that would treat everyone would not be there, therefore Justice Abang did well by rejecting Mr Olisa Metuh’s request. He is a great judge and Nigeria should be proud of such a man. However, we (Viewers Corner News team) are appealing that no amount of pressure from anyone should derail justice Abang’s judgement. Please keep it up and with such judge like Justice Abang, the judicial system of Nigeria would be strengthened.
