The first tenure of President Buhari’s administration is about to end. Some of the ministers in strategic positions based on our (Viewers Corner News team) findings have not performed as expected, one of them is Dr Ogbonnaya Onu who is the minister of science and technology. We (Viewers Corner News team) see him as a minister who goes to the office on daily basis, stay till closing time and sign out for the day. No innovation, no encouragement to the youths of Nigeria on the way forward through science and technology. The world is advancing through this aspect (Science and technology) but the minister (Dr Ogbonnaya Onu) who should have moved the country (Nigeria) forward is far behind. Sometime ago, he made a statement saying that Nigeria would launch her own satellite soon. How? Is it by telling the people of Nigeria what they want to hear when it is a well known fact that Dr Ogbonnaya Onu and his ministry have not even started the process of getting the job done. Nigeria is a great country and can launch her own satellite but a foresight kind of minister is needed in the country (Nigeria) to achieve that purpose, hence we (Viewer Corner News team) are calling on President Buhari to drop Dr Ogbonnaya Onu who is the science and technology minister. He should not be considered for another tenure. Nigeria needs an innovative, digital and a visionary minister to get the job done which is the truth. There are other ministers in President Buhari’s administration at the moment who do not deserve another tenure of office if Nigeria wants to move to the next level but right now our (Viewers Corner News team) focus is on Dr Ogbonnaya Onu. We (Viewers Corner News team) shall continue to give advice in our capacity based on what we know because we believe that if Nigeria can get it right, every other country within the continent of Africa would be great.
