It was not so easy with the Nigerian men’s soccer team who arrived Brazil just six hours before their Olympic opening match against Japan but despite that, the boys did not show any sign of fatigue during the game. According to the information Viewers Corner News correspondent gathered, the Nigerian Olympic football team’s trip was delayed to the Rio 2016 due to some mix up at the airport and this forced the club to board a last-minute flight from Atlanta to Brazil just few hours before its opening match. The team defeated their opponent (Japanese team who have been in Brazil for days preparing for the match) with 5-4 goals on Thursday night.
The men’s football tournament started a day before Friday’s opening ceremony in order to meet up with the Olympic tight schedule.
