- Britain and Nigeria have before and after Independence been very close. This closeness was built when Britain discovered the benefits of what they would derive having Nigeria near them both financially and others. This is because Britain and most advance countries of the world who pretend to love and cherish people from the third world countries are doing so because of what they would gain at the end which is why for so many years, Britain has encouraged Nigerian politicians to bring their stolen wealth to bank in England without any second thought. This attitude have been going on for so many years as Britain keep on manipulating Nigeria and other third world countries. However like the saying goes, that time changes everything, somehow it is unfortunate that before and after Independence, Nigerian elders/leaders paid so much homage to Britain which should not have been so. Even though they brought civilization to the people which is nice but then those horrible system which they gave to Nigeria in the past should not have been like that.
As human beings, Britain should have handled Nigeria as partners and not the other way round because we are created the same way by one God. All these put together contributed to the problems of Nigeria today. Somehow it is said that all fingers are not equal, perhaps that was why Britain and other advance countries are treating the third world nations in a more terrible manner. Having said this, the Nigerian politicians of this generation are still following the footsteps of the old Nigerian politicians who were on the YES YES side by dancing to the tune of Britain and the United States of America. We (Viewers Corner News team) are saying so because the rate at which the new generation of Nigerian politicians stole money belonging to the country (Nigeria) and also purchase properties in England and other advance countries of the world is so alarming without considering the welfare of those Nigerians living in the country (Nigeria) and anytime such money was to be transferred, those in Britain and the United States of America would open their arms to welcome those Nigerian looters. What this means is that Britain and the United States of America have not been fair to Nigeria and other third world countries because if most of the advance countries have good intention for the third world countries, they should be able to direct them since they claim to know better rather than encouraging them to bring their stolen wealth to the advance countries. Up till today, most of Abacha’s loots and money stolen by some Nigerian politicians are still hanging in both Britain and the United States of America including other countries of the world without anyone knowing whether such stolen money would ever be returned to Nigeria. Sincerely this is part of the reasons Viewers Corner News and the Advisory team would continue to support president Buhari and his government because they made everything public so that Nigerians would see and understand the harm Nigerian politicians have caused to the economy of the country (Nigeria). President Buhari is a great man and has done so well in fighting corruption and with time his administration shall get everything under control, we are very sure of that.
It is time for Nigeria as a nation to move forward by creating her own system without relying so heavily on Britain and the United States of America. Nigeria as a nation should make new friends and work closely with them as partners, with such attitude in mind more advantages would come to the country (Nigeria). Please let every third world country be of equal footing with the advance nations of the world. See them as partners and not as your superiors. Use what you have to get what you want because they also need you the way you need them and they can not be self sufficient without the resources from the third world countries.
