If Nigeria is a country where laws are fully implemented, there should not be any reason for Nigeria’s law enforcement officers to keep harassing innocent people in the country, just like they are doing now. Recently, Nigerians watched how some uninformed police officers beat an unarmed Nigerian man in the presence of his wife, which is so sad. This is so humiliating. Some police officers even went as far as to threaten Nigerians that they could kill them instantly and nothing would come of it. What a reckless statement coming from the officers of the law! We are therefore calling on the government of Nigeria to look into the atrocities of these power-drunk police officers and have them tamed. One of the very important duties of a police officer in Nigeria is to protect the citizens and not harm or kill them.
