The federal capital territory high court in Nigeria presided over by justice Adebukola Banjoko convicted ex-governor (Jolly Nyame) of Taraba state and former Governor of Plateau State (Joshua Dariye) for criminal breach of trust. Based on the evidences before the high court, the ex-governors (Jolly Nyame and Joshua Dariye) were jailed. Sincerely this would serve as a warning to other governors in Nigeria that it is not going to be business as usual anymore where money belonging to the state would be mismanaged or used for private ventures. As a governor, your responsibility is to make sure that those you are leading are comfortable by using the federal allocations and the internal generated revenues from your various states across the country (Nigeria) properly. Pay workers’ salaries, pensioners’ allowances properly etc., because not doing so would create huge problems for the families of those you are leading which may likely lead to stress related issues and death within a short period of time which is bad.
