NEW RULES ON MIGRANT REUNIONS HAVE BEEN APPROVED BY GERMAN GOVERNMENT.

New rules on migrant reunions was on Wednesday approved by German government, more than two years after such reunions were suspended. In the new rules, migrants are granted limited protection to apply for family members to join them. The rules will take effect in August and a maximum of one thousand (1000) relatives per month will be allowed to join migrants granted subsidiary protection which is not full asylum. Those who married after fleeing their country will not be able to seek spouses’ admission.
