MR. ANTHONY ANWUKAH, THE FORMER IMO STATE SECRETARY OF STATE WHO WAS FOUND GUILTY OF CORRUPT PRACTICES IN 2009 BY IMO STATE HIGH COURT IS NOW A MINISTERIAL NOMINEE. IS HE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB?

Viewers Corner reliably learnt that Mr. Anthony Anwukah, the former Vice-Chancellor of Imo State University (IMSU) and Secretary of state to Imo state government who is now a ministerial nominee was found guilt in 2009 on corruption related charges by Imo state high court. The issue now is why would he be nominated in the first place and why would the senate screen him?
As long as he was once charged and convicted on issues of corruption that means Mr. Anwukah has credibility problems, therefore Viewers Corner is advising President Buhari to be watchful on the nature and type of post such men in this category would be offered because any mistake his administration makes now may dent Buhari’s image and also that of his administration. Corruption and lack of leadership qualities are the major problems facing all African countries most especially Nigeria.
Therefore, Viewers Corner is advising President Buhari to watch out for the people he appoints into key positions of his government so that the issue of corruption would not be a hindrance to this administration.
