MR. ABBA MORO, THE FORMER MINISTER OF INTERIOR AND F.O. ALAYEBAMI HAVE BEEN REMANDED IN PRISON BY THE FEDERAL HIGH COURT (ABUJA) ON THE ALLEGED IMMIGRATION JOB SCAM.

Mr. Abba Moro, the former Minister of Interior ‎and F. O Alayebam‎i, deputy director in the ministry have been remanded in the prison by the Federal High Court in Abuja (Nigeria) on the alleged immigration job scam. According to the information our correspondent gathered, Mr. Abba Moro and F. O Alayebam‎i along with the firm contracted to execute the immigration recruitment exercise (Drexel Tech Nigeria Ltd.) were arraigned at the court on Monday, February 29, 2016 on 11 count charges of N675m fraud concerning the National Immigration Services recruitment exercise on March 15, 2014. The accused persons/ defendants allegedly collected N675m from 676,675 graduate applicants (each applicant was charged N1,000) during the  Nigeria Immigration Service recruitment on 2014 which turned out to be scam and about 20 job seekers lost their lives during the process. The hearing of their bail applications is scheduled on Wednesday, March 2, 2016.
