Mr. Abba Kyari, was one of Nigeria’s most celebrated police officers who won the hearts of many Nigerians concerning how he carried out his duties as a police officer. He has been suspended by the authorities of the Nigerian police force for his alleged involvement in fraud issues with Nigeria’s fraudster Ramon Olorunwa Abbas (Hushpuppi), who is now in the hands of the government of the United States of America. Mr. Abba Kyari, whose arrest warrant has been issued by the United States government, may be innocent until proven otherwise. However, the Viewers Corner News team is appealing to the government of Nigeria to carry out a proper investigation into the alleged crimes which Mr. Abba Kyari has been accused of committing before deciding whether he should be handed over to the FBI or not. If it turns out that the Nigerian government should hand Mr. Abba Kyari to the FBI, then the government of Nigeria should also ask itself this simple question. Assuming someone commits such an alleged offence in the United States and the Nigerian government wants that person back in Nigeria to answer some questions or face trial, will the United States government grant such a request? Time has come for all nations of the world to see each other as equal partners and not the other way round. The government of Nigeria should also look at what the law says on this issue before handing Mr. Abba Kyari over to the FBI, assuming such a request will be granted. The government of Nigeria should not take a hasty decision on Mr. Abba Kyari’s matter until every aspect of the investigation is fully looked into. If it turns out that Mr. Abba Kyari was involved in all these offences he is being accused of, then such a police officer should be made to serve a very long prison term because, as a police officer, you should be a role model for others to emulate and not do things that will drag your country’s name into the mud.
