Information reaching Viewers Corner News through our correspondent in Abuja (Nigeria) revealed that the South East and South South governors in Nigeria at the meeting held recently were requesting from the federal government of Nigeria to increase their federal allocations. President Buhari of Nigeria has allegedly asked those governors who are owing workers in their states across the country (Nigeria) to pay up the arrears they owed workers which those governors in their forum gave conditions to the federal government before they can be able to pay the arrears they owed workers in their states. Those governors are requesting that the rest Paris Loan Refund be released to them as alleged but as it is now, is like the federal government of Nigeria has blocked that aspect from letting them have the rest Paris Loan Refund (Money) which brings us to the question of the day; How did those governors in Nigeria managed all the monthly allocations the federal government of Nigeria has been given to them and the first batch of Paris Loan Refund? How were these funds spent? The truth is that most governors in Nigeria have invested wrongly and embezzled a huge part of the money, hence they are unable to pay workers’ salaries and pensioners’ allowances in their various states. If not, they are few states in Nigeria who also got similar amount of money but are up to date in paying workers’ salaries and pensioners’ allowances. If these few state governors like governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state and governor EL-Rufia of Kaduna state who are great leaders can be up to date in paying workers’ salaries and pensioners’ allowances in their states, what stops other state governors in Nigeria from emulating the good works of governor Willie Obiano and governor EL-Rufia and do the same in their various states across the country (Nigeria). Now those corrupt governors from South East and South South are now requesting for more money from the federal government of Nigeria which will at the end be mismanaged like they did before. Look at one bad example; in 2016, governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state (Nigeria) allegedly spent 650 million Naira to celebrate Christmas alone while in his state (Imo), workers are being owed months of unpaid salaries just like other state governors in Nigeria who left the good things they are suppose to invest in and choose the mismanagement method because they have no conscience and lack the ability to govern their various states properly. Based on this, we (Viewers Corner News and the advisory team) are appealing to the federal government of Nigeria not to give any money to South East and South South governors as they have requested because if their request is granted, the money will not be used properly to pay workers in their states. Evidence has shown that those governors are out to stock their various bank accounts if this money is giving to them, therefore those South East and South South governors should make do with the monthly allocation they are getting from the federal government of Nigeria and the internally generated revenues from their states which is more than enough to pay workers their arrears and be up to date with salary payment if managed properly.
