Democratic government anywhere in the world without the media can not function very effectively, meaning that both are like husband and wife who rely on each other to create and make progress for the family where everyone within the system would have a comfortable life. Our (Viewers Corner News team) little description here centered on most misleading articles being written by some media groups in the country (Nigeria) who report news without properly investigating them. Such misleading articles can be very harmful to the development and progress of democracy in the country (Nigeria). Recently, a representative of one Independent Newspaper in Ebonyi state reported one terrible and fake news concerning happenings in the state and on that report, an individual (Journalist) who claimed to be the representative of Independent newspaper in Ebonyi state (Nigeria) was calling on the APC leadership to call the Honorable minister of science and technology (Mr Ogbonnaya Onu), Mr Martin Elechi who was the ex-governor of Ebonyi state and Engr. Dr. Paul Okorie (a former commission of works in Ebonyi state) to order. The reason given in that article as was written by that reporter of Independent newspaper in Ebonyi state was misleading and a calculated attempt to dent the good images of these great men of Ebonyi state which we mentioned above. Again, the truth of what happened concerning the recent attack on APC members by thugs allegedly loyal to governor David Umahi and his associates during the meeting of APC in Ohaozara local government area of the state which this reporter who claimed to be a representative of Independent newspaper in Ebonyi state was misleading. We (Viewers Corner News team) would also like to remind the writer of that misleading article who claimed to be a representative of Independent Newspaper in Ebonyi state (Nigeria) to please be neutral when reporting news no matter the conditions attached to it. In Ebonyi state, majority of people are aware that governor David Umahi and his associates may have sent those thugs who attacked APC members when they were holding a meeting because those that came for the operation were identified as governor David Umahi boys and we (Viewers Corner News team) have it in good authority that the attackers did not cover their faces which makes it very easy to recognize them. Also in the past, governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state threatened to deal with whoever that would stand in his way from winning the 2019 governorship election in the state and now those threats are coming out. Sincerely majority of people in Ebonyi state can not be wrong at the same time, they told Viewers Corner News team that governor David Umahi shall be voted out of office come 2019 because his leadership has brought lots of pains to the people of Ebonyi state. Another important advice Viewers Corner News team would like to give to the representative of Independent newspaper in Ebonyi state is this; Please do not allow governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state and his associates to use you because he is going to be a one tenure governor based on our findings and if you keep on writing unpleasant articles against anyone which may be regarded as fake news just like your recent article concerning the attacks on APC members in Ebonyi state by thugs loyal to governor David Umahi and his associates which you did not investigate properly before putting it online for people to read, then you may be killing your career as a journalist so the best policy for anyone in this field is to remain neutral. Politicians would come and go but if you sell yourself wrongly, in the long run you may be rendered irrelevant. This is exactly what happened to some media groups in the past after collecting huge sum of money as alleged from ex-president Goodluck Jonathan/Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) led government during the 2015 presidential election to campaign against Mr Buhari who is now the president of Nigeria. In the documentaries aired by these media organizations, lots of unpleasant words were used which should not have been used and most of what was said in those documentaries against President Buhari was bad and misleading but at the end, God Almighty chose President Buhari to lead Nigeria and he (president Buhari) is doing extremely very well in his job to make the country (Nigeria) great. Today these media organizations have been benched and rendered irrelevant because they were not neutral and honest in their reporting as at that time, therefore we (Viewers Corner News team) are appealing to all those in the media business who are reporting fake news to hurt others to please be very careful and stop misleading the Nigerian public. Investigate your story properly before making it public for people to read. Again the media organizations in Nigeria should please assist the government of the country (Nigeria) to build a healthy democratic system which would be of benefit to everyone in the country (Nigeria).
