Viewers Corner News correspondent in Shanghai (China) gathered that the severe flooding over the past week in China has killed not less than 130 people, also damaged many crops and livestock. According to the information, more than 1.9 million hectares of crops have been damaged by the flooding across central and southern China and this leads to economic losses of more than 38 billion yuan ($5.70 billion) in the country. Also in 11 provinces and regions, about 128 people have died, 42 people are missing and over 1.3 million people were forced out of their homes due to this heavy rainfall. The farm animals were not left out as about 7,100 hogs, 215 bulls and 5.14 million fowl were killed in Anhui by the flooding. Over 40,000 buildings have also collapsed and this disaster has forced 100 trains to stop or take detours in the southern province of Hunan according to report.
