Mohamed Salah was on Thursday, January 2, 2018 in Ghana won the African player of the year (2017). He was also recently named the Arab player of the Year for 2017. The poll was drawn from about 100 sports journalists from several Arab countries. The 25 year old Egypt and Liverpool striker helped Egypt to qualify for 2018 World Cup which is to be held in Russia. He has also achieved great success at Liverpool since joining from AS Roma. Omar Khribin of Syria who plays for Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia came second in the Arab player of the year and Omar Al-Soma (Syrian player) came third. Congratulations to Mohamed Salah.
