A German journalist, Mesale Tolu who was detained by Turkey after May July 2016 failed coup in the country has been released by a court in Turkey on Monday, December 18, 2017. According to the information our correspondent gathered, the 33-year-old Mesale Tolu was released on the condition she will not leave the country pending outcome of her trial on terror-related charges. Germany has been pressing Turkey to release journalists detained in Turkey after the country’s 2016 failed coup. Before Mesale Tolu was arrested in May 2016, she worked with Turkish ETHA news agency as a translator and journalist.
