MEMBERS OF PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY (PDP) OF NIGERIA HAVE NOT YET COME TO TERMS ON WHY THEY LOST THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION WHICH BROUGHT APC/PRESIDENT BUHARI’S GOVERNMENT TO POWER.

Decision makers in Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of Nigeria are not being honest to their members and at the same time, they are destroying their political party gradually. If Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of Nigeria does not carry out real reform within the political party, they would continue to be an opposition party which is the truth, take it or leave it. Information reaching Viewers Corner News from our correspondent in Abuja revealed that a committee set up by members of PDP to know why the political party lost the 2019 presidential election has suggested that Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of Nigeria would not do zoning this time around but shall have a candidate from the northern part of Nigeria to contest for the presidency come 2023. Now hear this, zoning or bringing a candidate from the northern part of Nigeria to contest for the presidency is not the reason Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of Nigeria lost the 2019 presidential election. A candidate can come from any part of Nigeria as long as the said individual knows what leadership is all about, by putting the people of Nigeria first and working to achieve set objectives as regards to the economy of the country, this is exactly what PDP should look for. The main reason Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of Nigeria lost the presidential election to APC was as a result of corruption, recklessness, impunity, insecurity and many more which made the people of Nigeria voted APC to power so that they could correct mistakes of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) 16 years failed leadership in Nigeria which again APC/president Buhari’s led government has failed to handle appropriately. Another point is this, as long as those PDP members who contributed to ruining the economy of Nigeria are still coming out to contest for the presidency, the political party (PDP) would continue to lose because the wound is still very fresh in the minds of majority of Nigerians both home and abroad on how PDP mismanaged the economy of Nigeria during their 16 years of leading the country. For Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of Nigeria to take over power in 2023, they should come up with fresh ideas. They should stop bringing those tested and failed leaders who have nothing anymore to offer to the people of Nigeria, get fresh and digital thinking individuals into your political party who the people of Nigeria would listen to and accept, not the likes of Mr Atiku Abubakar who was the ex-vice president of Nigeria. More on this topic would come in our next article.
