Manchester City on Sunday, 12 May defeated Brighton 4-1 at the Amex Stadium to retain Premier League title. Manchester City passed Liverpool by one point to win the title. According to the club’s manager (Pep Guardiola), “winning this year Premier League trophy was the toughest title of his career”.
Manchester City finished with 98 points to win this year Premier League while Liverpool with one point behind (97 points) came second and Chelsea came third with 72 points. Manchester City is the first team in a decade to win back to back Premier League titles. Congratulations to Manchester City.
