The International biannual aerospace show is going on in the city of Zhukovsky near Moscow, Russia.
Over 700 companies from more than 20 States including Russia’s leading arms and space corporations attended this year’s aerospace show which started on August 25, 2015 and will end on August 30, 2015. Viewers Corner’s correspondent in Moscow informed us that Russian civil aviation companies were disappointed at the show as a result of economic crisis and Western sanctions which scare away many foreign firms. We also learnt that Russia and Iran will sign a $1billion deal during the show for S-300 missiles.
Japanese Yokohama Rubber Company is the only official foreign sponsor of this year aerospace show. This year’s air show marks its 22nd year and it is Russia’s largest platform for the development of International cooperation in the field of aviation and also for showcasing the latest achievements of the Russian aviation sector.
