LUFTHANSA, THE GERMAN AIRLINE HAS EXTENDED FLIGHT SUSPENSION TO CHINA UNTIL FEBRUARY 28 DUE TO CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK.

Lufthansa, the German airline announced on Monday that it is extending its flights to Beijing and Shanghai until February 28 due to coronavirus outbreak. The company also said that flights to Shenyang, Nanjing and Qingdao would be suspended until March 28 but it would continue operating flights to Hong Kong. Many airlines have also suspended their flights operations to China because of coronavirus outbreak. Some of those airlines that have suspended their flights to China are; Air Canada, Air France, Air India, Air New Zealand, Air Seoul, Air Tanzania, American Airlines, Austrian Airlines, British Airways, Hong Kong’s Cathay Pacific Airways, Delta Air Lines, Egyptair, El Al Israel Airlines, Dubai’s Emirates, Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways, Finland’s Finnair, Spanish airline Iberia, Kenya Airways, Indonesia’s Lion Air Group, Polish carrier LOT, Oman Air, Philippine Airlines, Australia’s Qantas, Qatar Airways, Moroccan airline Royal Air Maroc, Russian airlines (except national airline Aeroflot), RwandAir, Nordic airline SAS, Saudi Arabia’s airline, Singapore Airlines and airline Scoot, Turkish Airlines, Turkmenistan Airlines (Central Asian nation’s state carrier), Chicago-based United Airlines. Also the United Parcel Service Inc. (UPS), Vietnam Airlines and Vietnam’s Vietjet, Virgin Atlantic have suspended their flights operations to China.
