Her father, Eugene Schueller founded the cosmetics company and Bettencourt joined her father’s company at age 15 as an apprentice. She was active in the running of the company (L’Oreal) and was a member of the company’s board until 2012 when she stepped down. Liliane Bettencourt’s net worth according to Forbes was around $44 billion. May her soul rest in peace.
