LEE JAY-HYUN, A SOUTH KOREAN BUSINESS MOGUL WAS SENT TO JAIL FOR TAX EVASION AND EMBEZZLEMENT.

Lee Jay-Hyun, a South Korean business mogul was sentenced to two and half years in prison on the charges of embezzlement and tax evasion by the high court in Seoul on Tuesday, December 15, 2015. Viewers Corner News correspondent was informed that Mr Lee Jay-Hyun who was the head of the South Korean food and entertainment giant (CJ Group) is very ill and will not go to the prison immediately until he finishes his hospital treatment (he is to undergo a kidney transplant), the high court granted him a stay of sentence. In addition to his two and half years jail terms, court also ordered Mr Lee to pay a fine of 25.2 billion won ($21 million).
