LEADERS IN AFRICA SHOULD RESPECT THE WISHES OF THE PEOPLE OF MALI BECAUSE THEY ARE IN FULL SUPPORT OF A MILITARY GOVERNMENT IN THE COUNTRY (MALI).

Majority of those who spoke to Viewers Corner News correspondent in Bamaka (Mali) said that they are in full support of a military government in the country (Mali). Their reasons are: That the democratically elected government of Mr Ibrahim Boubacar Keita was a scam, meaning that the resources of the country (Mali) was looted by a few corrupt and greedy individuals who called themselves leaders of Mali, leaving majority of the people of Mali in abject poverty. The people of Mali also accused the democratic government of ex-president Ibrahim Boubacar Keita of conniving with some foreign multinationals who came to Mali, in the name of helping to rebuild the country (Mali) but were busy stealing the resources of the country (Mali) and sending it back to their country, thereby leaving Mali dry which they said was unacceptable. They also said that insecurity under the leadership of ex-president Ibrahim Boubacar Keita was the order of the day in Mali. The people of Mali know that the military government may not be the best for the country (Mali) but it is far better than a democratic government in Mali whose main objective was stealing the resources of the country. They know that the military will steal but not as massive as the past democratic government of Mali. Democracy in Mali brought division among various groups and fighting continued among them, killings everywhere, no peace but with the military government in power, even if the people of Mali do not have money in their pockets, they would be able to go out and fend for themselves without fear of being killed by unknown gun men. According to the people of Mali, they are in full support of the military, they should stay in power until they are able to put things right before handing over to a democratic government. They also plead with African leaders to understand their plight on this issue.
