President Buhari is nicely heading somewhere, granting late Chief Moshood Abiola and Ambassador Babagana Kingibe who was Chief Abiola’s running mate the winners of June 12, 1993 presidential election which General Ibrahim Babangida denied them is an honour. President Buhari should be commended for doing so because those who were there before he came to office could not do it, perhaps because of their evil agendas. We (Viewers Corner News team) would also use this opportunity to plead with president Buhari to re-open investigation into the murder of late Mr Dele Giwa (one of Nigeria’s finest journalist). Dele Giwa was killed by a letter bomb allegedly sent to him from the government house as at that time. It was also alleged that he had lots of information which he wanted to publish in various Nigerian newspapers concerning some top Nigerian military officers as at that time. All these centered on corruption, illegal activities and mismanagement of resources which included big names in Nigeria, hence the termination of his life. However, all these are speculations but a little bit of truth may be there because as at when Dele Giwa was killed, letter bomb may not have been on the reach of an ordinary Nigerian if not those highly connected to the seat of power. Viewers Corner News was recently informed that president Buhari has ordered the investigation into the murder of ex-justice minister Chief Bola Ige which we (Viewers Corner News team) have been writing about and pleading for justice to prevail. Honestly, this is a good step in the right direction. Anyone who is involved in terminating the lives of innocent human beings no matter your status should face the law, therefore we (Viewers Corner News team) urge the Nigerian police to honestly do their job as president Buhari has instructed. Nigerians need result to nail those behind the killing of Chief Bola Ige (the ex-justice minister of Nigeria).
