LAGOS STATE (NIGERIA) GOVERNMENT TO BAN MOTORBIKES AND TRICYCLES FROM MOST PARTS OF LAGOS.

Viewers Corner News correspondent in Lagos reported that the Lagos state government announced recently that it would ban motorcycles (okadas) and tricycles (kekes) from operating in most parts of Lagos. The government made the announcement on twitter, stated that their operations cause chaos, disorderliness and scary figures of fatal accidents in the city. Lagos state commissioner of information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso said that the ban will not affect courier service companies and will take effect from 1 February 2020. The ban will be enforced in the following Local Government and Local Council Development Areas. Apapa, Apapa-Iganmu, Yaba, Lagos Mainland, Yaba LCDA, Surulere, Itire-Ikate, Coker-Aguda, Ikeja, Onigbongbo, Ojodu, Eti-Osa, Ikoyi-Obalende, Lagos Island, Lagos Island LCDA.
