LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT MINISTER OF NIGERIA, DR. CHRIS NGIGE WAS SHORTSIGHTED IN HIS STATEMENT. BUHARI IS PRESIDENT FOR ALL NIGERIANS, WHETHER PEOPLE FROM SOUTH EAST VOTED FOR HIM OR NOT, HE SHOULD CARRY EVERYONE ALONG THAT IS WHAT DEMOCRACY TOLD US.

We (Viewers Corner News) are re-visiting the statement made sometime ago by the minister of labour and employment, Dr.Chris Ngige of Nigeria. He allegedly said that politics is a business and that the problems the south east are facing today is because they did not invest in president Buhari and Osinbajo’s bid to win the federal government house. We (Viewers Corner News team) want to let him know that such statement is not right, politics is a business to an extent, yes but democracy told us that as long as majority within the country (Nigeria) has given their consents to a particular candidate, it is believed that everyone has already given his or her consent too and the rest few percent who may not have agreed should be carried along, with time they will come to terms and understand the reasons majority voted for that candidate. Again we can never have everyone in the country anywhere in the world supporting only one candidate, that is why to an extent various political parties are formed (Individual differences) and different oppositions would come up which makes it healthy and interesting but at the end majority shall always win. So because everyone in the country (Nigeria) did not endorse the ticket of the president does not mean that he should not carry them along, NO and if he does that then he is wrong and not practising democracy. He should carry everyone along like we mentioned above and as time goes on, those that said no in the beginning would at some point join his camp and work with the leader which they initially rejected his candidacy. This is part of what democracy is all about, therefore saying that the south east did not vote for president Buhari that is why they are in this situation is not right. It is also clear by now that some of you leaders who were appointed to lead the people do not even know what democracy is all about and as such, how can you lead the people and do your jobs nicely? Somehow this is part of why there are failures in Nigeria today and also in other third world countries. For us to overcome our difficulties, we need to know how it all started and begin to analyze them line by line and as we do that, the process of fixing it will fall into play that is the truth and nothing but the truth. However some of you Nigerian leaders need tutorials and good advisers who would always guide and lecture you on certain issues, if not the country (Nigeria) would remain the way it is because some of the ministers in Nigeria are not progressing at all in their duties and also they lack general knowledge on what democracy and governance is all about. If some of the leaders understand properly their jobs, by now most of them would have been able to turn things around in their various ministries for the benefits of the people. It is so surprising that the leaders in Nigeria go to work on daily basis, waste tax payers money without making any progress and after four years, another set of politicians would come in and continue with the same terrible system. Honestly time has come for leaders in Nigeria to take stock of their activities and come up with something better which would bring development to the country (Nigeria).
