It was reported that Kulsoom Nawaz, the wife of Sharif Nawaz (Pakistan’s jailed ex-prime minister) is dead. She died on Tuesday in London hospital after being in coma for months. She was diagnosed with lymphoma last year, less than a month after her husband (Nawaz Sharif) was removed from office in July 2017 by the Pakistan Supreme Court, and ordered to face trial in an anti-corruption court.
Her husband and daughter (Maryam) were later jailed and are currently in prison where they are serving 10-year jail term and seven-year jail term respectively over the purchase of luxury flats in London in the 1990s. May her soul rest in peace.
