Kaduna state lawmakers allegedly set up a committee to probe ex-governor El-Rufai, who led Kaduna state in Nigeria for eight years.

The Viewers Corner News correspondent in Abuja gathered that the Kaduna state lawmakers have set up a committee to probe ex-governor El-Rufai, who served as governor of Kaduna state for a period of eight years. According to a Viewers Corner News correspondent, the debt owed by Kaduna State under the leadership of ex-governor El-Rufai was so huge that it runs in billions of naira without much to show for it. As it is now, the current governor of Kaduna State is unable to carry out some activities in the state as alleged. It is so terrible that Nigeria’s ex-governors would be in office for a period of either four or eight years, instead of using the available resources of the state to better the lives of their people, they would resort to stealing the money meant for projects that would bring benefits to their states. The Viewers Corner News team applauds the Kaduna state government for speaking out on the state’s debt situation. We are appealing to other state governors across Nigeria to also do the same by telling Nigerians what they met in office after taking over from their predecessors. Possibly a committee should be set up to probe those ex-governors, who might have left billions of debts behind for the newly elected governors to carry. Perhaps exposing these ex-governors and their past corrupt practices when they led their various states would deter other leaders from doing the unthinkable. Meaning that whoever takes over power will also have his or her activities made known to all Nigerians when his tenure of office ends.
