The alleged 4.9 billion Naira money laundering charges involving Fani Kayode (the former minister of aviation) is a huge one but since the lawyers representing Fani Kayode has filed an application to meet with the trial judge, it is normal that he grant them such request no matter the circumstance. However we (Viewers Corner News and the advisory team) may not know the specifics and his reasons for rejecting such request but based on what we know in law, the lawyers for Fani Kayode may be looking for a soft approach to resolve the matter by settling out of court most probably and if that be the issue, then it would be better for both parties. This means that in this situation, the alleged amount of money or part of it may be returned back to the federal government of Nigeria assuming and the matter ends. Now if any accused person in this category decides out of court settlement assuming, then such option should be granted to the person rather than dragging the case in the court which would create unnecessary waste of time and tax payers money. This is not the time to waste Nigeria hard earned money because the federal government of Nigeria needs lots of money from where ever it can get to put things right in the country (Nigeria) most especially now that Nigeria is in recession. We (Viewers Corner News and the advisory team) are appealing to justice Muslim Hassan of Lagos high court to kindly reverse his decision and meet with Fani Kayode’s lawyers, you never can tell if a better solution would be found which may bring peace to both parties.
