JUNE 12 BEING A DEMOCRACY DAY WHICH HAS JUST BEEN DECLARED IN NIGERIA IS HISTORICAL. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN IMPLEMENTED LONG BEFORE NOW, PRESIDENT BUHARI SHOULD BE COMMENDED FOR HAVING IT DONE.

June 12, 1993 general elections in Nigeria was believed by majority to be the very best election in the history of the country (Nigeria) which late Chief MKO Abiola won on a large margin but unfortunately the military leader as at that time (Ibrahim Babangida) and his associates denied the winner of that election (late Chief MKO Abiola) his mandate to lead the country (Nigeria). Based on our (Viewers Corner News team) findings, majority of Nigerians honestly voted for late Chief MKO Abiola which gave him the required votes to lead Nigeria and that was great. Again, one would have expected that those past leaders should have done what president Buhari just did by honouring late Chief MKO Abiola and at the same time making June 12 a democracy day in Nigeria because it is historical which those past leaders failed to do but now that president Buhari has done it, he should be commended. Sincerely, late Chief MKO Abiola was a great man and would have made a better president if he was given the opportunity to lead Nigeria. May the soul of late Chief MKO Abiola continue to rest in peace.
