Lots of leaders in the continent of Africa have leadership problems and have no regard and respect for humanity. Look at a country like Angola with huge natural resource (petroleum) that can last a whole life time which the president Jose Eduard Dos Santos has personalized as his own enterprise without thinking about the welfare of other citizens of the country (Angola). Recently he appointed his own daughter as the chief executive of the country’s oil corporation (Sonagol) after dissolving the board of the corporation. He has positioned his children to carry on if he leaves office assuming and no one in the country would challenge him, he is the iron man of Angola. The children are living large flying their private jets around the world and enjoying life to the fullest while majority of the citizens of Angola are struggling to feed themselves, this is not fair at all. Honestly the wealth of the country (Angola) would have been more than enough to create better facilities for the citizens but greed, selfishness and corruption have ruined the country (Angola) and this same problem is also affecting all other African nations. This is the cause of poverty in the continent, only God Almighty would save the situation. Another surprising aspect is that John Baltz (the managing director of Chevron in Angola) is supporting the action of president Jose Eduardo Dos Santos because he is getting his own share of the deal. Even if other citizens of the country (Angola) are not well cared for, it does not concern them as long as their business in the country (Angola) is waxing nicely. Where is our conscience and love for humanity? We are all children of one God and should learn to help, protect and do what is necessary for the betterment of all the citizens in our various countries because they voted for us to led them nicely and not to personalize the wealth of the country as family business.
Let us use the available resources of our countries which is within our power as leaders of various countries in the continent of Africa to create better living conditions for the people, that is why we are elected to office.
