This is funny and laughable, Jimi Agbaje (the former governorship candidate of Lagos state and a strong member of Peoples Democratic Party of Nigeria) is nursing the ambition of leading the party to take over power come 2019. This is nice, there is nothing wrong for anyone to have a dream which was exactly what Jimi Agbaje has. If he can not win Lagos state, what makes him think that he would get the whole country (Nigeria) to support him this time after all the pains Peoples Democratic Party of Nigeria inflicted on Nigerians).
First, he is in a wrong political party for now which is P.D.P, when Peoples Democratic Party of Nigeria was formed, it had all the necessary requirements it needed to lead a nation to victory both economically and otherwise but they deviated. They never kept to what would have made them great, most of them misused their opportunities by manipulating the whole country (Nigeria) with the help of their pens. Corruption became their second name, they started borrowing money from international community to feed their citizens instead of carrying out proper economic reforms that would create a long term economic benefits to the Nigerian people. These are main reasons Nigeria as nation is in this problem till today because they failed to do the right thing when the prices of petroleum products were better. If Peoples Democratic Party of Nigeria had worked nicely during their tenure, when president Buhari took over he would have gotten a soft landing but first he has to start cleaning the terrible mess created by Peoples Democratic Party of Nigeria and these things need time to clean. Again no one should blame president Buhari for the economic problems Nigerians are passing through today, this is the fault of Peoples Democratic Party of Nigeria which failed in the past to do what is right for Nigerians. Viewers Corner news and the advisory team believe that president Buhari would bring Nigeria out of the economic problems the country is facing at the moment, all he needs is time and the support of every Nigerian to scale through. With all these economic difficulties created by Peoples Democratic Party of Nigeria, sincerely for Jimi Agbaje to say that he would lead his party to victory come 2019 is surprising because we do not know how he is going to do it.
Our (Viewers Corner News) advice to Peoples Democratic Party of Nigeria is this, those old politicians that ruined Nigeria should stay aside, let the new ones from the party be presented to the Nigerian people. May be with such approach, the people of Nigeria may start thinking towards voting for Peoples Democratic Party of Nigeria but as long as P.D.P keeps on fronting those corrupt men everyone in the country sees on daily basis who have nothing to offer anymore to the Nigerian people, it would be very difficult for them to get to power anytime soon which automatically means that they would remain in opposition for a very long time. This little advice given here is what Peoples Democratic Party of Nigeria would have to take very serious if they want to be heard in Nigeria anytime in the future but certainly not 2019 because APC/president Buhari’s led government would most likely win the next election come 2019.
