Jeremiah Farmer, a 39 year old Latin Kings street gang member who said that he beat up jailed R. Kelly on 26 August in downtown Chicago’s Metropolitan Correctional Center has been sentenced to life in prison. A federal judge in Hammond (Indiana) convicted Jeremiah Farmer of racketeering which involved two murders in 1999. According to the report, Farmer committed racketeering activity in a drug-related case that involved the killing of Marion Lowry (74) and Harvey Siegers (67). He (Farmer) represented himself during the court hearing and appeared combative, frequently interrupting the judge. Marion Lowry and Harvey Siegers were beaten to death in June 1999 with a hammer at their Hammond business, Calumet Auto Rebuilders where members of the Latin Kings had conflicts with the business.
