Our (Viewers Corner) correspondent in south Carolina in the United States of America told us that Jeb Bush, a Republican who was among those campaigning to be the President of the United States of America has ended his campaign activities recently. Jeb Bush is the son of the former President George HW Bush and brother to former President George W Bush, his reasons for quitting the race is attributed to his recent poor performance in south Carolina, Iowa and New-Hampshire. Jeb Bush is a great man who knows when to quit, he has exhibited one of the qualities of a good leader. He does not want to stay till the end because he knows that even if he continues, nothing so good may come out of it and that is one of the qualities which every leader should have most especially in the third world countries.
We are appealing to leaders in the third world countries to grow up by learning the good sides of some of these great leaders, always know when to say “yes I am done with what I am doing at any given time” and support whoever you feel is going to deliver nicely assuming he or she wins the election. This is one of the qualities of a good leader, it should not be seen as a do or die affair like we see in most countries around the world especially in Africa. Most leaders want to be in power until death, this is not what democracy told us. If you do not win today, you may win tomorrow, all you need to do is proper planning and doing your homework nicely to achieve a goal. This is food for thought.
