Viewers Corner News correspondent learnt that deals on agriculture and digital trade worth about $55 billion have been signed by the United States and Japanese government. Under the deal, Japan will reduce tariffs on American-grown farming products, including beef and pork which face higher tariffs than competitors from other countries like Australia. The contract opens market for American farmers and gives Japan an assurance that President Donald Trump’s administration would not impose new tariffs on auto imports. President Donald Trump who is seeking reelection next year made the deal with Japan to appease U.S farmers who have been shut out of the Chinese market as a result of U.S trade war with China.
