President Buhari’s government is creating an image that is not so good in a democratic country (Nigeria) by still keeping those believed by majority of Nigerians both home and abroad to be activists. This action may hurt All Progressives Congress (APC) in the long run. For quite sometime Mr Omoyele Sowore, the champion of “RevolutionNow” group has been in detention without trial. Please release him or charge him to court where he would have the opportunity to defend himself which is part of a democratic process. Again, Nigeria is a democratic country and no matter the situation, issues of this sort should be addressed in a more democratic manner. Based on this, we (Viewers Corner News team) are calling on President Buhari and his government to release Mr Omoyele Sowore or charge him to court, his release is long overdue. Another troubling aspect in Mr Omoyele Sowore’s case is that information revealed recently showed that he has been ill and those holding him as alleged refused to let him see a doctor. If that is the case, then it is damaging to President Buhari’s government. We (Viewers Corner News team) would also use this opportunity to plead with President Buhari and his government to release Mr Sambo Dasuki (former security adviser to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan) who has been held in prison without trial for years.
