The problems affecting most governors in various states of Nigeria could be lack of foresight and the ability to plan properly to know which program to give attention to first. Again corruption is another issue too, the allocation from the federal government of Nigeria is more than enough if the internally generated revenue is added to take care of the people and other projects within their various states. All what is required is planning carefully and knowing which project to execute first, proper evaluation and costing of projects is very important. Governors should always work according to their budgets and they should avoid inflating contracts, that is if they are in the habit of doing so assuming. If all these few points mentioned here are carefully followed, there is no way a state government would lack money to pay the NYSC and other workers in their various states and before you all came in as governors in your various states, promises were made to better the lives of the people of your states who voted you all to power. When all these promises were made, lots of Nigerian voters believed that you all were conversant with the happenings in the states, so why are most governors complaining? This shows lack of leadership qualities in most of the governors in Nigeria.
We have seen in the past where governors in Nigeria turned themselves into billionaires over night after few months in office, how come? That means funds meant for the people of your states have been diverted may be while people you all are leading can barely feed nicely. This is not right, therefore Viewers Corner is appealing that we do the right thing and one of the responsibilities of a governor is to think first about the people who voted him to office, create better conditions for them using the available resources in your various states. This is what governance is all about.
Once again, always remember the voters because without them, you all would not have been in that position which you all are occupying now. It is a sin not to help them.
