Bahrain and Israel

ISRAEL AND BAHRAIN PLEDGED TO OPEN EMBASSIES, ESTABLISH ONLINE VISA SYSTEMS AND LAUNCH WEEKLY FLIGHT BETWEEN TWO COUNTRIES.

In a bid to cement their new ties, Israel and Bahrain said on Wednesday that they would open embassies, establish online visa systems and launch weekly flights between the countries. This happened after September 15 deal initiated by President Donald Trump of the United States to normalise relations between the two countries. President Trump also normalised ties with Israel and the United Arab Emirates. The normalisation deals brokered by President Trump administration shows that the Islamic Republic of Iran’s influence in the region (Middle East) is decreasing as U.S imposes more sanctions against Iran. Bahrain’s official said that by December 1, Bahrainis and Israelis would be able to apply online for entry visas. He also stated that Bahrain has submitted a request to open a Bahraini embassy in Israel and Israeli embassy had already been approved for Manama. Gabi Askenazi, Israeli Foreign Minister who would visit Manama next month, said that opening ceremonies for the embassies would be held by the end of 2020. In following the footsteps of Bahrain and United Arab Emirates, Sudan announced Last month, that it would normalise ties with Israel.
