Now that the oil business in the world is fluctuating, we assumed that the time for oil producing nations of the world to start thinking of what to do has come. Economic diversification is what every oil producing nation of the world should plan for because those that rely heavily on the sales of oil to plan and execute economic programs in their various countries may have to think twice. We do not believe that the oil business which they rely on would be better anytime soon especially now most petroleum consuming nations of the world are trying to find alternative means concerning the reduction in the use of petroleum products. Most industrialized countries are already doing that but on a gradual scale, however that may take time to achieve full capacity and that is the reason the oil producing nations of the world should check out other areas of development and investments apart from relying on oil. We (Viewers Corner News team) are suggesting to President Buhari’s administration to ask the ministry that is responsible for agricultural matters to conduct proper research on bamboo plantation/production in the country (Nigeria). We believe that Nigeria has fertile land to carry out such investment if they decide to invest in bamboo plantation. This is a profitable venture which would bring benefits to the country (Nigeria) but before this is done, we would suggest that proper research be conducted. If the Nigerian government could go into such business, the benefits which the country would derive from this venture is going to be huge because no imported raw materials are required to harvest or go into this venture. Again, if the Nigerian government can invest on this project as suggested, they can export the products to lots of countries around the world. Everything the Nigerian government needs to get started is in the country so now is the best time to diversify the economy because tomorrow may be too late.
