Four men (Akshay Thakur, Mukesh Singh, Pawan Gupta and Vinay Sharma) who gang rape and murder a 23-year-old student on a Delhi bus in 2012 have been executed by India. According to the information our (Viewers Corner News) correspondent in New Delhi gathered, the four men were sentenced to death in 2013 and were hanged at Tihar jail in New Delhi on Friday, 20 March 2020. The execution came after their clemency pleas were rejected. The case sparked global outrage, huge protests in India and also showed the alarming rate of sexual assault in the country (India).
