Pensioners in Nigeria

IN NIGERIA, PENSIONERS AND WORKERS WHO WORK LEGITIMATELY ARE OWED THEIR ALLOWANCES AND SALARIES WHILE BANDITS THAT KIDNAP AND KILL INNOCENT NIGERIANS ARE TREATED NICELY THROUGH NEGOTIATIONS.

Pensioners and workers in Nigeria are not being treated fairly by both states and federal government. In Nigeria, most states are still owing pensioners their pension allowances while the salaries of workers in some states are also not paid promptly which is bad. Nigerians have seen how negotiations with bandits and other criminal elements who are kidnapping and killing innocent people of the country are being handled softly but those pensioners who worked legitimately throughout their lives have been subjected to poverty. At their old age, Viewers Corner News team expected that the government of Nigeria should care more for them by making sure that their pension allowances are paid as at when due so that when they are sick, they could be able to get treatment in the hospital but in Nigeria that is not the case. Look at the effort being put through negotiating with bandits and other criminals and secretly paying huge amount of money to them as alleged but those elderly pensioners and those still working legitimately in the country to earn a living have been subjected to absolute poverty. Even the minimum wage which the federal government of Nigeria approved for workers, till today some state government are still complaining about it as being too much for them to pay while bandits and other criminal elements who are kidnapping and killing innocent Nigerians get theirs in millions which is bad. Based on this, Viewers Corner News team is appealing to both the state and federal government of Nigeria to review their position on this issue for the best interest of the country.
