Viewers Corner News correspondent learned that many people (more than 160 people) have lost their lives and many stranded or missing across south Asia due to heavy monsoon rain. According to the report, in Nepal, death toll has risen to 115 and not less than 38 people are still missing. In north Bangladesh, the flood affected over 500,000 people (27 people were killed in the last few days and many have fled their homes). In Bihar (northern Indian state), about two million people were affected (not less than 10 were killed). In Assam state (northeast India), about 15 people were killed. Monsoon rain in Nepal, India and Bangladesh which usually start in June and ends in September causes a lot of damage both life and property.
