We have seen how some Nigerians who criticized the government of Nigeria were picked up and detained. We also saw how those spokespersons of the government of Nigeria issued warnings to Nigerians for speaking the truth, even going as far as to telling Nigerians that they had crossed the line. We want to inform and also remind the government of Nigeria that as long as the country is practicing a democratic system of government, it is the responsibility of the opposition and Nigerians to speak out when things are going wrong in the country. Without being told, the economic hardship in Nigeria has reached an alarming level, which we expect the government of Nigeria to look into and have it fixed. Look at insecurity across Nigeria, a situation where human beings are being kidnapped and killed like animals on a daily basis, which is so sad. With all these happenings across Nigeria, how do leaders of the country think that Nigerians would be quiet and not speaking about it? Even in a military regime, people still talk when things are not done properly. Therefore, leaders of Nigeria should expect Nigerians to criticize the government when things are going wrong in the country, which is the right of every Nigerian to do so.
