In the past, we (Viewers Corner News team) were among those pleading and canvasing for governor Akinwumi Ambode of Lagos state (Nigeria) to be re-elected to office so that he can complete his second tenure and one of the reasons we did so was that governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos state (Nigeria) was prepared to work with a great country like Germany in terms of infrastructures because we (Viewers Corner News team) believe that when such country which is highly advanced agrees to be at your back, you can not go behind. We (Viewers Corner News team) know the country (Germany) very well and she is always ready to assist, share technology to an extent with any state or country around the world. Governor Akinwunmi Ambode being one of those making such great moves would have brought real development to Lagos state and in Nigeria as a whole but our (Viewers Corner News) recent working tour in Lagos state (January 2019) based on our findings were not encouraging at all. Now hear this: We (Viewers Corner News team) visited Oshodi area of Lagos state, lots of garbage were dumped on the road sides and it is so in almost all the places we visited.
It is worst when it rains, such horrible site can cause diseases and death within a short period of time. Even with a little rainfall, the roads are not motorable, potholes everywhere which is bad. Somehow Lagos state is believed by most Nigerians to be among the richest states in Nigeria which should not have much problem when issues of building infrastructure is concerned and also if they have a performing governor. Honestly based on how Lagos state is at the moment, we (Viewers Corner News team) can categorically say that governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos state (Nigeria) does not deserve a second chance in office. Again as a governor, it is your responsibility to work for the betterment of all the people of your state but whereby such system is not working, then the best is to have such governor removed from office.
Our (Viewers Corner News) attempt to reach out to those in governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s office so as to know what went wrong proved abortive. On the other hand, we (Viewers Corner News team) are appealing to whoever that would take over from governor Akinwunmi Ambode to please keep Lagos state (Nigeria) clean and also build infrastructures that can bring benefits to all the people of the state (Nigeria).
