Ex-leaders of Nigeria during their tenures in office travelled far and wide, they saw in whichever countries they visited the importance of having a steady power supply and its benefits to the citizens of those countries in question. But in Nigeria, it was alleged that about 16 billion dollar was spent on power which was never there, though it was also alleged that ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo was not to blame for that based on our (Viewers Corner News team) findings. Now the issue is that as a leader during his tenure, he (ex-president Obasanjo) should have made sure that everything went well because the amount of money (16 billion dollar) involved in that project was huge and up till now, Nigeria does not have constant power supply. Our (Viewers Corner News team) take on this is that ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo should be blamed partly on this issue because if contract of this magnitude to get steady power supply to the country (Nigeria) was awarded to any company, the leader in power and his government should ensure that it goes well which they never did. However, like we (Viewers Corner News team) said, when a strong leader is elected to office in Nigeria, many issues which is believed to have been thrown into the trash box shall resurface, then those involved would be prosecuted.
