If Nigerians examine the recent judgment delivered by judges at the election petition tribunal of Nigeria, Mr. Nyesom Wike should not be sitting as a Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

Ex-governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State is the minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, because the constitution of Nigeria says so. But since the judges at the election petition tribunal of Nigeria said that 25% is not relevant and Abuja should not be given a special status as the constitution of Nigeria made it mandatory to be, then the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, should be regarded as a state. Meaning that Abuja should have a state governor and not a minister in our opinion. The Viewers Corner News team is appealing to the judges at the Supreme Court of Nigeria to look into this matter carefully and make a decision that would benefit all Nigerians. Again, with the decision of the judges at the election petition tribunal, an election should be conducted in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, which should produce a governor and not a minister. We are saying so based on the judgment delivered by judges at the election petition tribunal of Nigeria.
