Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state (Nigeria) has every right to join All Progressives Congress (APC) just like every other person in Nigeria but what would not be right is trying to bring those who made him (governor David Umahi) what he is politically to ridicule. Ex-governor Sam Egwu and Mr Pius Anyim played a huge role in his political career at some point, therefore coming out to accused them or threatening to deal with them as a result of some misunderstanding he may have with them would be unfair. When issues of banditry is being mentioned in Ebonyi state, governor David Umahi would always be remembered because his government before and during his campaigns used thugs to beat up some of those who criticized his administration of wrong doings which is not a hidden thing. Up till now, those thugs are still out there in Ebonyi state, very loyal to governor David Umahi waiting for a go ahead order to carry out action against anyone in the state (Ebonyi state) who would not comply with governor David Umahi’s wishes. Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state speaking about IPOB members and cultists being engaged to destabilize Ebonyi state may be a game plan to attract sympathy. Another point is that as governor David Umahi was moving out of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join All Progressives Congress (APC), he had wanted to go with all the lawmakers from Ebonyi state who were his associates but majority of them rejected his request, hence he is lamenting now. Governor David Umahi should always remember that anyone who bite the finger that fed him would face series of problems at some point.
